One of the most important moments in the game is when Sora, for the first time, finds himself alone. Riku has joined Maleficent and embraced Darkness, then Donald and Goofy abandoned Sora to follow Riku because he now had the Keyblade. Sora is upset, but sees that the Beast, despite being inured by Riku, is still willing to go into the castle to fight for Belle. Alone.

I also find it interesting that Sora did not hesitate when he saw the Beast fall in pain. He wasn't afraid of the Beast, he was afraid for the Beast. Sora is a truly noble character.
